Be mindful of everyone\u2019s pockets! In any group, there\u2019s always one person with an unlimited budget and another who\u2019s more careful with money. Since the goal is for EVERYONE to have a good time, the first step is to agree on the overall budget for the event.\u00a0Everyone must explicitly agree to this (by replying to the text message with \u201cYes, I agree\u201d). And once agreed upon, we stick to it.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Choose simple tools that everyone uses. Generally speaking, everyone uses WhatsApp. You should therefore create a group chat with all the guests to share information there. Send summary messages and confirm that everyone has received and understood them. For example, a text message that includes: date, location, time, useful link (if needed), and address.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

If there are several of you organizing the event, this group, which is different from the main group, will allow you to make the initial decisions before sharing the summary with the main group. The best advice I can give you is to pay attention, in other words,read the room <\/i>! If the bride is very religious, avoid Magic Mike kind of vibe<\/i>. If the bride is pregnant or has recently given birth, avoid marathon outings or tree-top adventure courses. If guests are on a tight budget, avoid a VIP weekend in Monaco with champagne, limousines, and spa treatments that will break the bank for everyone. You know what I mean.<\/p>

Regarding the two weddings I was telling you about. In the first case, the bride was finalizing the wedding decorations, so we organized a workshop at a florist\u2019s shop. Our creations (dried flower bouquets) were later used as table decorations on the wedding day. The bachelorette weekend also included brunch, a spa, a karaoke restaurant, and a dancehall party (we kept is *halal*<\/i>). For the second one, the bride is an artist, so we attended a workshop at C\u00e9ramicaf\u00e9 Genevi\u00e8ve (here's a link to their website)<\/a> and we went to a Harry Potter escape room. When we ask for your feedback \u201cby Wednesday at 12:00 PM,\u201d that doesn\u2019t mean \u201cthe following Sunday at 11:30 PM.\u201d There\u2019s always a reason behind a deadline: an activity that will be booked for 1:00 PM, a time slot to reserve, rates that depend on the number of guests. SO if the organization team asks you to reply by noon, you do it. Got it?<\/p>

This isn\u2019t about you <\/i>: The focus is on the bride. So petty fights, disrespectful behaviours, and tantrums are off-limits. In a group of people, you don\u2019t necessarily know or even like everyone. So swallow your pride and prioritize getting along. Note that, it\u2019s only for a weekend. Show up with a smile on you face, or don\u2019t come at all.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

For all activities where the price is shared among participants (such as a rentals), last-minute cancellations are not permitted. Why? If a group of 10 people agrees to pay 33 euros per person and 5 of them cancel at the last minute, it creates chaos. The guests\u00a0agreed to pay for the 33e but not the 75e (if the costs are split, and in any case, the bride doesn't pay). If you still have to cancel, consider the money lost.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
